Edu will leave SHowbiz for Good

Regardless of the outcome of the May 10 elections, vice presidential candidate Edu Manzano has announced that he is quitting show business.
Manzano, the former host of “Pilipinas, Game KNB?,” said he has no plans of going back to acting and hosting entertainment television shows.
"I do not like to be dancing the ‘Papaya’ at age 55. Hindi na rin kaya ng tuhod ko," he said, referring to “Game KNB’s” very famous “Papaya Dance.”
Manzano disclosed that he now prefers to host current affairs programs.
When it comes to the matters of the heart, meantime, the Lakas-Kampi-CMD vice presidential candidate has set aside the issue. He added that he and his former girlfriend, news anchor Pinky Webb, are no longer talking.

Meanwhile, Manzano said he does not regret his absence in ABS-CBN’s "Harapan: The Vice Presidential Debate" last Sunday.
In a press conference, Manzano said he could not attend the forum since he already had a prior commitment for a provincial campaign.
After he watched the debate, Manzano said he was glad he did not attend since the candidates merely resorted to mudslinging.
Instead of attending a forum for candidates, Manzano said he prefers to campaign in the provinces and woo voters personally.
In a phone interview with ANC’s “Top Story” Tuesday, the actor-turned-politician also explained that he could not just cancel his scheduled campaign sorties in the provinces.
“We cannot just adjust our schedules because of invitations. You also have to understand that the local campaign is just around the corner. And we depend largely on our local leaders to help us in convincing the voters to vote for us. Sometimes, we also have to worry about their feelings,” he said.
He noted that his campaign sorties have already been planned way ahead of the ABS-CBN debate.
