Obama on Health Bill

Obama will invite members of Congress who backed the legislation -- as well as some needy Americans who stand to be helped by the bill -- to the ceremony, which will usher in near universal health coverage for the first time.
"I think each and every member of the House and the Senate that supported health care reform will be invited," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said.
The ceremony was originally planned for the South Lawn of the White House, but due to inclement weather forecasts the president is now scheduled to sign the bill and deliver remarks in the building's East Room at 11:15 am (1515 GMT). Related article: History of US health care reform battle
He will then make a speech on the reform at the Department of the Interior at 12:05 pm (1605 GMT), his office said.
The House of Representatives passed the core of Obama's plan late Sunday, along with a package of changes the Senate must now endorse. Related article: Obama faces fierce 'post-game' battle on health care
But regardless of the Senate action, the health bill will become US law as soon as Obama signs it.
